To ensure the stable operation of the equipment and extend the service life of the industrial washing machines, regular maintenance and care are necessary. Today, we will introduce the precautions in the daily maintenance of the industrial washing machines.
In daily use, we divide the maintenance work into daily maintenance and monthly maintenance.
Daily Maintenance
- Check whether the emergency stop switch is functioning normally to ensure a timely shutdown when facing an emergency.
- Check whether there are foreign objects in the inner drum and whether there are foreign objects in the gap between the drum openings to avoid the residue of foreign objects damaging the linen during washing.
- Check whether the door sealing ring is good or not, whether there is damage or deformation, to avoid water leakage.
The daily maintenance job is quite easy, and usually observation is enough.
Monthly Maintenance
- Regularly clean the filter
Some industrial washing machines are equipped with special filters. The steam inlet of the steam-heated industrial washing machines may have a filter screen that needs regular cleaning.
- Check the condition of the belt and drive unit
As time passes by, the belt and the drive unit may wear and break. The monthly inspection is needed to avoid accidents during use. The gap between the belts and the tension level of the belts should be paid attention to during the inspection.
- Change the worn units
Monthly check whether the components like drivers, bearings, valves, and so on, are worn, and the degree of wear. If the wear is severe or the damage has occurred, the components must be changed to avoid severe malfunctions and equipment damage.
- Check the condition of the hoses and the connectors
Checking whether the hoses of the industrial washing machines have cracks, leakage, or other damage can avoid the losses of water and steam and reduce the operating costs for the laundries.
- Check the bolts of the industrial washing machines
During the use of the industrial washing machine, there must be vibrations that cause the connecting components, like bolts, to loosen. It is recommended to regularly check the bolts and tighten them when finding loose bolts.
- Extend the service life of the heating components
The heating components easily got water marks, especially the laundries that haven’t used the soft water scale. The combination of the alkaline detergents and the calcium ions and magnesium ions in the water will produce the soap scum. When there is water scale and soap scum on the heating components, the heating efficiency will be affected, which can have a bad impact on the washing efficiency. The long-term accumulation of the water scale and soap scum can not be completely removed. As a result, regular use of descaling products to remove scale on the heating components is needed.
- Bearing housing lubrication
On the basis of the specific condition of the industrial washing machines, generally, lubricate the bearing housing every half month or every month. Otherwise, it will cause strange sounds and have a bad impact on the service life of the equipment.
Despite that, it is recommended to hire professional maintenance personnel to do a complete maintenance of the equipment annually. Laundries should ensure the performance and the service life of the equipment through daily maintenance.
