How do laundromats remove alcohol stains?

Laundry shops often meet clothes with alcohol stains. The common alcohol stains are red wine stains, Baijiu stains, and beer stains.

Red Wine Stains

Wine marks are very obvious and are difficult to handle. As a result, they are very troublesome. When red wine is spilled on clothes, there will be a reddish-brown stain. The stained area will feel a bit harder because red wine contains sugar, tannin, and amino acids. If there are red wine stains on the clothes, people should use clear water to wash them and then remove the stains separately. If the fabrics of the clothes are not suitable for water washing, clear water should still be used for partial cleaning of the stained area, and then the stain removal should be done. If dry cleaning is chosen first and then stain removal is done, the difficulty will increase.

After being washed with clean water, the red wine stains are basically just pigment stains left. If the clothes are made of cotton or cotton blends, you can use alkaline detergent and wash them in a washing machine at a slightly higher temperature. If the clothes cannot be washed with water at a higher temperature, you should remove the stains first and then wash them normally.

Baijiu Stains

Baijiu is a colorless distilled spirit. Logically, there should be no pigment that causes stains. However, if the clothes are splashed with Baijiu and not dealt with in time, they will still leave stains, and some of them can even be very serious because Baijiu contains various amino acids and different types of sugars. After it dries, it will concentrate on clothes, forming stains.

If we already know that this stain is caused by Baijiu, we can alternatively dissolve it with clean water and ethyl alcohol in the stain area. At the same time, we can use a stain remover that removes proteins and sugars to remove it. If it is a cotton fabric, we can use an alkaline detergent and wash it with water at a slightly higher temperature to solve the problem.

Beer Stains

If beer is spilled over a large area on clothes and not dealt with in time, after some time, it will become hard, the color will be darker, and there will be obvious residues. This is because beer contains sugar, amino acids, and various organic substances. This kind of beer stain is usually solved by washing with an alkaline detergent and water at a slightly higher temperature. If the clothes cannot be washed in this way, most of the organic matter can be removed by local water washing, and then the stain can be removed separately.

All the above are the solutions for removing. We hope it’s helpful for everyone.
